Rosemarie James

Rosemarie was trained at Wolverhampton College of Art. After graduation she trained as an art teacher.

Her work:

She is inspired by pre-Columbian ceramics, art nouveau, microscopic forms and since moving to Dorset many years ago, by the sea and coast. The movement and colours of water never fail to fascinate, and their depth and richness are qualities she tries to reflect in the layers of glaze she currently uses on her work. No two pieces are exactly alike, even when in sets, as each reflects a uniqueness born of simple craftsmanship and the creativity of fire at high temperatures.

She has supplied collectors in Israel, France and the USA as well as in the UK.
